TRIM

Here we go...

First up is the bull bar.  What I done today (11/04/06)

I got this bull bar off a mate at work for next to nothing.  So I put it up against the car to see how it would look and realised that I really wanted some extra lights, easy done just grab some off other wagon we have a see what they might look like.  After a couple of hours work here they are.

I like it.

The end result will hopefully look something remotely like this, I hope... I made this picture before I got the bull bar and lights idea.

UPDATE!!! 14/12/2006

I'm starting to think I should have called this section "Trim and Accessories"

Well lots has changed, I've taken the extra lights off to fit in a winch... a 12,000lbs winch, well that's what the sticker says, but it works well.

I also fitted some Rhino racks from a Liberty we have.  And cut the fenders.

She also runs on 14" wheels now, pictured with Goodyear G28 tyres, but I have just got some Goodyear Wrangler TGs for her see wheels and tyres.

Here are some pictures of the build-up

Bonnet and fender are from the donor car, a yellow 82 wagon. Note, I roller painted them later with some car paint that I tinted at work with the a Wattyl tinting machine, it was all guess work and I spent a whole day slowly painting a door hinge to get the colour right.

Had to braze weld the bonnet hinge back on!

Like the high lift strut?  I do :)
